Which is right for you?  Human hair and synthetic wigs each have advantages and limitations.  Both are great choices, depending on your budget, time and needs.

The difference is in the fibers. Synthetic wigs tend to hold their style better, even after washing. If you are going to be in humid weather conditions, you don’t have to worry about your wig frizzing up or losing it’s shape.. Human hair wigs are made out of several different textures of human hair and will have to be restyled after getting wet and/or washing.  

How Long Do Human Hair Wigs Last?

Human hair wigs offer the most natural look and feel.  Generally, they are more expensive, more durable and with proper care they can last between 1-2 or more years.  It’s recommended to have more than one wig, so that you can rotate them out to help them last even longer.

How Long Do Synthetic Wigs Last?

Synthetic Wigs have come a long way in recent years. With high quality synthetic wigs you would never know they were not human hair! The fiber used has memory for wave, curl and volume which lets the hair bounce back into place with minimal effort. The fibers are permanently set and hold up in bad weather with no drooping or frizzing.  Typically, a high quality synthetic can last from 4 months up to a year if taken care of properly and rotated out.
